Klondike Fans,

We’ve reached the finish line. After three unforgettable races and incredible community support it is time to say goodbye to the Lake Minnetonka Klondike Dog Derby. (Official statement)

While the race has come to an end, what we'll remember most isn’t the snow, the trail, or the finish line; it’s the people.

To our volunteer board of directors, thank you for your dedication, passion, and thousands of hours spent making this event possible year after year. Your commitment carried Klondike through every challenge and helped create something truly special.

To our sponsors and donors, thank you for believing in our mission and investing in this event and our community. Your support helped us grow the Klondike Dog Derby into a world-class sled dog race.

To our mushers and canine athletes, thank you for sharing your talent, sportsmanship, and love of the sport with us. You were the heart of each race and the reason so many people fell in love with this amazing sport.

And to our fans, volunteers, families, and community members, thank you for showing up. Whether you attended one race or all three, cheered from the sidelines, volunteered your time, or simply helped spread the word, you became part of our story.

Together, we introduced generations of Minnesotans to the sport of mushing, created lasting traditions, and built a community that extended far beyond race day.

With unending gratitude, mush on.
